We’re always tinkering with design to create the next great Alden Shoe. These are some of our favorites, but we’d like to know which ones are yours. Crowdfunding helps us decide which styles make it to production. The faster they are funded the sooner they get made.


Here’s how it works:

1. DESIGN THE SHOE

Leathers allowed are the various Calfskins, Suedes, and Shell Cordovan (Color 8 and Black only- no exotic shell). You can choose the Last, Sole, Welt, etc. All designs are subject to review and we will let you know if something is not permitted with your design. A sample picture of your shoe idea is required. It cannot be taken from another Alden dealers website (unless granted permission). Please use www.aldenmodelproject.com as a reference, photoshop existing Alden pictures, or send a couple pictures of different models to get your point across.

2. PAY FOR THE SHOE

Your shoe idea must be paid in full once submitted. After that we will require a $300 deposit per person to reserve a pair. All deposit sales are final once the shoe goes into production. If the shoe does not get funded in the allotted time (90 days) deposits will be refunded.

3. PROMOTE THE SHOE

Once submitted and paid for we will post the design to our “CROWD FUNDED STYLES PAGE” and frequently post the idea to our Instagram feed. To get the shoe made will require 6 commitments. Progress will be tracked on the shoe page for everyone to see. Once we reach 100% funded we will submit the order to Alden. Tell your friends and post the idea to social media. The better you get the word out the faster/more likely the shoe gets made.

4. SHOE PRODUCTION

The entire process can take anywhere from 6-10 months. We will provided an estimated delivery time once Alden confirms the order. A final price will also be provided that is due when the shoes arrive. Once received we will ship to all those involved.

This Workshop model requires 6 reservations in 90 days (or sooner) to have the order sent to Alden.  Once the order is filled we will notify those who have left a deposit.  $300 is due to reserve the pair and remaining balance do upon arrival.  In the event the order does not get filled we will refund the deposit.  Estimated time start to finish 8-12 months.
